We're different: We use a new type of solar technology exclusively. The cool new equipment, called "micro-inverters", makes solar panel technology work better in multiple ways:
- Easier to install. Big, ugly "circuit breaker"-type boxes –aka centralized inverters– no longer need to be mounted on your house or building—because micro-inverters are mounted one each, behind each individual panel.
- More efficient. Means cheaper, because micro-inverters are 10-25% more efficient than old-school inverters. You need fewer of the most expensive component, the panels themselves.
- Expandable! Old-style inverters have to be scaled to fit the number of panels. With micro-inverters, you can start with one panel, and go up from there--without having to change out to a larger inverter like the old days.
- Safer. Because micro-inverters convert electricity from DC power to AC right on the back of each solar panel, no dangerous high-voltage lines exist—unlike legacy systems.
Getting at least one panel will let you realize the independence possible in producing your own power at the most local level possible.
