Petstrokes Portraits:
Custom Acrylic (View Gallery)
Picasso style is one of my favorites to paint in. It's fun and interesting and always turns out looking exciting. They are less detailed and less strictly representational than my watercolored portraits. Picassos are for those who like bold and fun colors rather than more realistic styles and mystical colors. They are a little more fun for me to paint =)
All picasso portraits are done on stratched canvas.
Sizes:

11x14 - $75, 1 pet only

1. E-mail me a request (hannah@petstrokes.com). This includes at least three photos: A head shot, a body shot, and a general photo. Please send the clearest pictures possible in which the colors aren't too washed out. You can also include pictures of your pet's favorite toy , your pet sleeping, etc. Also include in this e-mail a paragraph telling me about your pet: Personality, favorite games, toys, etc. Also tell me what size painting you want. Let me know what kind of background you want--I can do most things you request, but the backgrounds aren't realistic (just like the paintings themselves). You can reqest a simple scenery (such as grassy field and sky or a living room with a green rug) or something simple like solid, striped, or checkered. If you want it to look like a scenery or background you've seen, you can send me a picture of that too.Tell me which of the photos you best like your pet's position for the portrait. If you like none of the positions, explain to me how you wish for your pet to be posing. When requesting a portrait, please be as specific as possible.
2. I send you a sketch of what I pictured you wanted. If it seems right, you send me a 50% deposit. If it does not, please tell me what to modify (dont worry--my feelings aren't hurt) until you are pleased with the result. Please keep in mind that as my art is focused mainly on lines and colors, the sketch will never, never look as good as the final product.
3. When you are happy with the sketch and I have recieved my deposit, I will finish the picture and send you proofs.
4. 4. You send me the remaining 50% of funds. If you want your picture framed, you send the cost for framing as well. It will take an extra day or two to be framed.
5. I send you your picture and everybody (hopefully) is happy! Please e-mail me and tell me what you think when you recieve it, I'd love to hear from you.
Note: after requesting a portrait, the customer agrees that they have no reprodution rights. The customer agrees to pay for shipping. If the customer waits an unreasonable amount of time (more than 2 weeks) before sending any funds (deposit or remaining 50%) and does not contact me to tell me the reason for their absence, I have the right to sell the finished product to someone else or reuse the canvas. Upon the request of a portrait, the customer agrees to pay the given price unless we have negotiated a different size of portrait.
